About Brian Bell
As with most people, I’ve worn a lot of different hats in my career and my life. Not in any particular order, I’ve been a manufacturing engineer, software engineer, futures trader, money manager, fund manager, research director, author, educator, consultant, woodworker, father, and cyclist. You can learn more about my professional career at my LinkedIn profile.
I spend most of my time these days working on my trading platform, trading, and doing research on the futures markets. The rest of the time I’m out in my wood shop ruining perfectly good wood.
Most of my life has been spent here in Colorado. I currently live in Pueblo West, which is in the high desert about 40 miles south of Colorado Springs. All of last year (2020) we had about 5″ of rainfall, which is a little drier than usual but not by much. We have coyotes, rattlesnakes, scorpions, lizards, red racers, and in the fall the tarantula migration comes through. It’s not for everyone, but I love it here. It would be even better if there were some javelinas around, but I’m thankful for what I’ve got.
We live in an adobe home with four large dogs and two barn cats. My partner is a breeder of Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, so at various times we might have other dogs here, as well. Never a dull moment.
